I'd say Indian cities re not even that populated. the densest city even in south asia is not in India. Its in bangladesh.

I don't think a single Indian city will have walkable footpaths by 2030 

I am not even talking about hard stuff , india can't even develop such basic infrastructure. 

Best thing india can do is make big cities be independent of Indian constitution and courts  , like  Hong Kong model

Still lot of villages and rural areas and quiet and have less people, only mega cities in india will have population problem not entire india
