I want to use my phone while I'm in India while traveling and probably buy an international travel plan from airtel etc. I'm not sure if that can be accomplished. How do you guys manage this? Please share some ideas and suggestions.

T mobile esim is the way to go

I'm using t mobile currently and my phone has an option to add an esim mobile plan. Should I buy this esim from Tmobile or can I chose a provider in India

google voice

US Phone number -> call forwarding to Google voice number

when in india, get a high internet plan for your phone.....receive all the call from US thro your google voice

and you can make calls to US thro google for free

T-mobile,  as an app called 'Digits' it works in india without any additional plan or cost. all incoming/outgoing/text/vm - as if you are in mainland US.

i love tmobile for this reason.....they make international travel super easy
