Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film is making waves at the box office. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, has reportedly earned a worldwide gross of Rs 865 crore within just 13 days of its release, becoming the highest-grossing film in the history of Hindi cinema.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently mentioned the success of the film during a speech in the Lok Sabha. He highlighted the fact that the film is playing to packed houses in Srinagar after decades and praised the impact it is having in the region.

Previously, Modi had asked BJP workers to avoid making unnecessary comments about Bollywood celebrities and films, as there were several boycott calls being made against the film before its release.

Shah Rukh Khan himself took to Instagram to express his gratitude to the audience for their love and support of the film. He shared a photo of himself and wrote, “The Sun is alone….it Burns….and comes out of the darkness to Shine again. Thank you all for letting the Sun shine on.”

Pathaan also featured John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in the leads. The film’s success brought Shah Rukh KHan back into the big league.
