FRC near 50... People made good money!!

Will back to $100, it is a very reputed bank, most of the high net worth customers (more than $1 million in assets) bank with them and very trustworthy in SF and most of their customer base is through referals. Their USP is when you call them, a relationship manager who directly talks to you and handle your concerns. They just have a small and focused size of 200,000 customers with avg account size of some $17 million.

Bank of America also used to a SF bank before they moved to Charlotte, FRC used to part of BAC but divested as it needed money in 2009

It is not like SVB they got tie ups, with in a day they were able to arrange backup funds of $70 billion from JPM and others

Stock price is different. If the stock lost 50% within a week means investors dump and run. This will have lot of volatility ahead. Bank might be strong and survive but stock is going to be shaky

Agree,  but stock value for that day is volume based and doesn’t tell you the full story, it is a demand supply thing, you can move the stock price even with few shares sold for that day, that is the behavior in general.

coming to reputed companies a lot of institutional investors hold stocks and they don’t dump so easily.

My risk appetite was $15k and took it, considering everything and how fed can’t afford to down another bank I am positive this will work OK

here is a list of banks under water and FRC is exposed to risk but very little when compared to SVB who put 70% of their deposits in long term bonds($117 billion vs $30 billion) . FRC is in much manageable state. Bank of America and schwab are in a bad state , they will survive even if they had to sell all their securities and pay depositors, that was not the case with SVB

Note to everyone: still an opportunity imo but please do  your due diligence and risk only if you can handle it
