Convition that too criminal conviction even for a day will almost make him ineligible for at least 90% of respectable jobs

He is a tourist. 1 day jail is like less than a traffic ticket infraction - not even a misdemeanor. Even a disorderly conduct which is like a very minor offense/infraction has only 15 days of jail time. It won't show up on background checks even if he wants to work in the US and prospective employers won't be able to see it on the reports (USCIS can see everything). Unless it affects his future entry into the US as a tourist that relates to Immigration Law... Only felonies and incarcerations of 1 or more years appear on background checks (these actually can get people deported).
