Coming to Purdy that is one of the knocks on him baa ..many said this even before that he has shorted palm size ayin that impacts holding the ball in the weather like yesterday ...

may be that's the reason and also in one of the throws in the replays they showed him wiped his palm in the middle of the play which threw the timing off.

That's what I read today on ninersnation as well. But he is a strong dude mentally. Hope he will overcome them with more experience. Weather will be like this in most states during playoffs, so 49ers have to figure out a solution or practice more  in bad weather ...

he was in Iowa state and played in that weather

more exposure and practise in rain will help
