Focus more discipline and skills for self learning.

Their interests change over a period of time, Let them enroll in things they like like Swimming (its very useful), scouts, Volleyball, Shuttle, Football, Violin, Music, etc. Some of these like Football are expensive, so choose based on your budget. Kids might strike a chord with something and continue that.

Overall I have seen Swimming is useful academically (PE Classes) and Scouts. If you have girls, make them enroll in Boy Scouts. They have a all Girls division now. They make them learn all essential surviving skills, discipline, leadership, organizational skills and its a lot of fun for them.

Agree on these two esp Math. When kids grow, schools do not teach well in math in Middle and High scoools. So enroll them in Kumon at an early age. I was against it when my kids were young. But I do see the value now. Saying with experience. Enroll in Kumon or some other math academy.
