this is one version…the other version is if some businessman can make deal with any ruling party to make decisions in favor to his business and in return that businessman can donate  lump some as electoral bonds and in addition with tax benefits….

this is heavily misused for tax benefits also…

Damage to Business is more dangerous than favoring someone out.

  • Damage - destroys employment and effects both owner and worker.
  • Favoring - something comes out of it and creates/keeps employment at expense of only owner becoming rich.

i think both are equally dangerous….

politicians can favour one businessman by destroying his opponents (like multiple)….

before these electoral bonds there was no anonymity…so how companies survived..?

bottomline is this electoral bonds doesn’t solve anything and in addition it adds more issues…

just FYI. prior to 2018 there was no Banking involvement in transactions for Political Party donations.

the electrol bond system was introduced to involve banking and keep accounting of the money.

asusual the ambition was right...implementation was wrong with Central govt.

it should have been like this atleast.

  • RTI -> should provide which party got how much. but not the donors name.
  • if CJI involves -> they should get the names of donors.

my logic behind - Donors name masking lo...issue is example say Ambani donated 1000rs to BJP and Congress comes into power, then Congress might witchhunt destroying Ambanis business in someway..

anduke mask cheyali for RTI.

lol logic... let's take a look at facts and talk.

I am sure you must have read about How many ED raids were carried out against whom and after raids who donated to which party.

You mask details about donor in the name of accounting.. rofl.

Yes. Electoral bonds a concept is good rather than old system where up to 20k rs not need to maintain receipts. That's how political parties got most of the donations earlier and all in black money.

Tax exemption should be restricted to only certain percentage of company revenue or completely removed. And donors name need to be public.

With current bonds also all parties get their share equivalent to their MPs. BJP, INC and TRS.

It was not an issue until BJP started highest donations.

even now if congress comes to power, they can negate these and it will all be normal again

there are flaws in system, it is a result of bad policy, it will be fixed for all parties

reading too much against BJP also needs the same level of rationalism to back to and see how it was before 2014

all donations would directly reach 10 janpath/ahmed patel. aa time gurinchi matladani noru ippudela lestundi ani @Spartan adagamannadu

That was electoral trust. But with that too BJP has benefited a lot

The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) in 2013 conceptualised the electoral trust scheme, allowing companies under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956, to establish electoral trusts

The biggest question that begs an answer ..what motive would drive companies/individuals give money to any political party? And why shouldn't normal citizens not know about these transactions.

Companies may get preferential treatments in landing govt contracts, influence policy making, insulation from wrong doings and many more.  This is what the SC said when it deemed the electoral bonds as unconstitutional.

Why do folks fall back to past when questioned about the issues that are happening currently. Aren't the misgivings of the past parties the reason why the helm was given to the current people in power.

two wrongs don't make a right.
