Is DS-160 number mandatory for receiving SMS for passport pickup? Both email & mobile number were given for passport but DS-160 number not given for SMS. Status shows notification failure, maximum retries but email received as DS-160 number had been given.

I think DS160 ph number will send you notifications and email kuda

yes...ph number had been mentioned but not DS-160 but mentioned for email & received email alert not SMS. Shows notification failure.

@CaptainMaverick DS number is not required for passport pickup... it is just passport details and it doesn't have anything to passport pickup... if the passport trakcer says ready for pickup... just go and show your identity or authorization letter

DS-160 mention in website lo anna....i'm asking about sms alerts. I received email alert not sms!
