Corruption in India has Worsened over the Past Year,
according to a New Study released by Transparency International, a Berlin-based Anti corruption Group..!!

On the latest Corruption Perception Index,
India Fell from a 3.3 Ranking of 87th in 2010 to 3.1 Ranking of 95th in 2011.
... Of the BRIC Economies, India only fared better than Russia, which ranked way down at 143 with a Score of 2.4.
India Ranked 95th in the list – way lower than China, Asia’s other Major Fast-Growing Economy, which scored 3.6 points and ranked 75th..

2) Telecome Lincese ~ The 2G Scam
3) War Widow Homes Scandal

But it’s not all bad. One reason why corruption in India is perceived to be getting worse is that more and more people are willing to speak out against it.
The urban middle classes, who are exposed to episodes of bribery more than most, have become "a lot more outspoken and much more intolerant" of petty corruption..
Anna Hazare’s mass anticorruption movement, tapped into this pent-up anger and pressed the government to push through powerful anti-graft legislation.
A draft bill to set up as Lokpal, an anticorruption ombudsman, is the need of the hour..

Structural reforms like the Lokpal to curb graft in the country are needed very much but they are still not enough.
India’s Right to Information Act, which has allowed citizens to uncover episodes of corruption in the public sector is also one of the best laws of its kind but nothing has been done to guarantee the safety of those who invoke it.
Attacks against RTI activists are alarmingly common, and likely discourage many from using it..

The Simple and at the same time, the Complexity of the Answer to this lies within Us.. Either we elect A Good Government or Suffer at the Hands of the Corrupt Govt. we choose by enslaving ourselves for Money & Liquor..!!
