[size=4]Nayak was arrested following a first information report filed against him by Babita Lenka that he had slapped and misbehaved with her over parking a vehicle on national highway 215 passing through the town on Saturday, the police said.[/size][/size][/font][font=arial, verdana, sans-serif, FreeSans][size=3]

[size=4][font="Arial"]In course of argument, the MLA allegedly slapped her in public view and threatened her with dire consequences if she dared to complain against him, she alleged in the FIR.[/font][/size][/size][/font][font=arial, verdana, sans-serif, FreeSans][size=3]
[size=4][font="Arial"]Refuting the allegation, the MLA termed the whole incident as politically motivated. "I have neither slapped nor misbehaved with anybody. Rather the homeguard hurled abusive words at me," Nayak said.[/font][/size][/size][/font]
