But, the belief just stayed as it is.. People can always work against that belief... the only thing is that these violations are not well appreciated by majority of the people. I dont have an idea of why that rule was acutally followed. The above reasons i said are just my assumptions. If i come across the truth, i will let you know. [/quote] It first started with journeys. paatha rojullo sea and rivers meedha voyages ekkuva undevi. amavasya roju tides chaala low ga untai. avi chusi voyage start chesesthe by the time they reach their destination, the tides will get high for full moon and their voyage may end in disaster. So, people suggested to start journeys on full moon, so that on an average they can finish on amavasya when the tides are low and it is safe to park their boats on the banks of rivers and seas. Gradually, it is started to be attributed to many aspects for several reasons. In the earlier times, people used to work under moonlight or travel under moon light. So, when they start on amavasya, there are many chances that they may fall prey to many things such as dacoits or wild animals etc.. so they started travelling on full moon days when the moon light is high and helpful..
