3G Vs 4G, A Detailed Look

Airtel has recently launched the services of 4G network in India. So, let’s get to the straight point. What do we know about “G (Generation)”? What was 3G and why did they launch 4G? Is it just the speed that matters which we hear most of the times? As per the commercials is it just the download speed that was some “x” megabytes and now “y” megabytes or gigabytes. In order to better understand better concept and be a curtain raiser, we want to bring all the details about it under one shelter.

As we know that most of the mobiles and smartphones today are running on 3G network. Of course, some still on Edge which is way too older than 3G. In United States of America, the hub of Telecom giants like AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint etc many carriers still go with 3G even after 4G was introduced and still are successful in the business.

3G itself was faster than 2G and its preceding versions and nevertheless 4G is proved to be 3 to 4 times faster than 3G. Both 3G and 4G have their own pros and cons that we will that is listed below.
