[b]Job Description:[/b]
Works with Application Development teams and Infrastructure Specialists to identify and specify moderately complex business requirements and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc. within a specific environment. Responsible for a complex, state-of-the-art network that rapidly changes to support enterprise growth and development of new business opportunities and is challenged with proving an environment that is reliable, flexible, and cost effective. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

[b]Responsibilities:[/b]
Provides input to senior engineers and specialists for design, procurement of equipment and supplies.
Assists with production hardware and software system upgrades and installations.
Performs equipment installations and relocation as required to support the business needs of the enterprise. Coordinates the installation of remote equipment.
Serves as point of escalation from second tier help desk and provides specific expertise in area of responsibility.
Provide appropriate metrics to senior engineers and specialists to support development of a growth plan for the environment to ensure the best quality service in a state-of-the-art environment.
Acts under the direction of and collaborates with Senior Infrastructure Engineers and specialists in the development of Enterprise Architecture standards.
Assists with project engineering in the design and delivery of physical designs and specifications.
Participates in product evaluation, including planning, installation, testing, and technical support.
Maintain licensing as required.
Participate in the configuration and test phases of disaster recovery management.

[b]Qualifications:[/b]
College degree in Computer Science or related technical field preferred.
4 years experience with computing systems and other associated software in the enterprise's computing environment.
Platform specific certification preferred.
Knowledge of DB2/Connect and Websphere MQ is a must and knowledge of Websphere Application Server is a plus. We are looking for working knowledge of installation, configuration, security, upgrading, and troubleshooting issues for DB2/Connect and MQ. Ability to learn new technology. Ability to plan and prioritize work and meet project deadlines. Must be self-motivated and work well with other groups. Excellent Communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills are required
