Opinion: 'Telangana is like a 'brotherly' dispute'

I vehemently disagree that Telangana is a divorce crazy husband-wife dispute. It is in fact a well-wishing and caring 'Brotherly relationship'. Is it not the duty of each sibling to ensure a ever-lasting relationship? Hence the responsibility and the passion within the Seema-Andhra folks to avoid a Telangana split. It is just logically impossible to impartially divide AP. This is not as simple as parental property being split within a family since there is so much of overlap and ‘cross-pollination’.

Just sit back and think - if Kashmir wants to breakaway or join Pakistan - would any of us agree to it? Why stop them when majority of Kashmir residents want to split? Why stop other regions from splitting within India? There will always be pockets of weak progress in few districts. Impossible to have 100% equally progressive districts – whatever the reason might be. It does not mean that a region has to breakaway.

Nobody stands to gain with a separate state. It truly does not matter if Tamil Nadu or Karnataka take away our opportunities since they are also a part of the larger brotherly love. The problem is that India will be the biggest loser if this split happens. The current state of affairs in Jharkhand is a true reflection of the future of a splitting region in India. What will stop 20+ other rebellious regions from splitting other States?

It is high time for the parents (high command?) to step in and categorically refuse a Telangana split - if they really care for a progressive and united India.  We do not need a divorce lawyer in the form of Justice SriKrishna. Let us join hands as usual and bring back the progress and fame that we have achieved under both the TDP and Congress parties in the last few years.

"if Kashmir wants to breakaway or join Pakistan - would any of us agree to it?"--- Its 'coz its going out of india... but telangana is not going out of Inida..... it'll be an integral part.

"Nobody stands to gain with a separate state. It truly does not matter if Tamil Nadu or Karnataka take away our opportunities since they are also a part of the larger brotherly love." -- Why people fought with Tamilnadu for Andhra State(1953)  if its a brotherly love....

"Impossible to have 100% equally progressive districts – whatever the reason might be. It does not mean that a region has to breakaway."-- Whatever the reason might be hurts people who really are suffering...... its not you Mr. Srinivas reddy, so it seems kool to you...

"The problem is that India will be the biggest loser if this split happens."-- This statement of you contradicts the previous one "What ever the reason might be"-- The under developed and sufferings are for INDIANS. I dont think India will loose anything due to this split. Moreover if you think of India, you will never be against for this split.

Actually, Some People of Andhra are scared of loosing many things not Indians.  I admit, split will cause a damage and suffering for the investors, contracters and business personals. But this percent(not more than 3%) of people are in position to survive and get back in no time. But  the percent of people suffering with this United is more than 25%......which is far far supportive to this nidnadam"Jai Telangana"
