Ivala interview ayyindi...wanted to share my experince.

 

Consulate ki 7:20Am ki velina..8:10 varaku line to byta chali lo nila betti sampadu...8 ki na appointment unde

 

After standard security procedures tarvata tocken,finger prints ayyayi.

 

VO na kante mundu 2 members ni chesadu...not sure em visa noo valadi.

 

I was 3rd in the line and VO was a bald head guy in window 5 and he was cool and was typing all through my interview.

 

VO: Is this your first H1

me:yes

 

Vo: Did you study in US,where and what prog

Me:yes,told univ and Masters in Elec eng

 

Vo: I am striking off F-1 visa on your passport

me: sure

 

Vo:What specialization of research or couse work.

me: course work in XX

 

Vo: who do you work for and as what?

me: As xx at BB company.

 

Vo: what is your salary?

me: told

 

Vo: Do you have family in canada?

me: No, I have a friend.

 

Vo:  Do you have family in US?

me: No

 

Vo : where do you live in US and what place?

me: told.

 

 Vo: how long are you staying in canada?

me: couple of weeks.

 

Vo: Your visa is approved. I see you selected Markham as your pickup location. would you like to pick it up from consulate?

me: Oh!!(surprised) can I do that? okay then I will pick it up here.

Markham is little far from here I live so I wanted to pick it up from consulate which is about 25 min frm where I live.

 

VO attached a sticker on back of PP  and gave me a doc with worker rights in US and a slip to show security when I go to pick up my PP on 29th, Friday of this week

 

Me: Thank you so much and have a good day and JUMP akada nunchi...

 

Nenu Na file clip kuda open cheyaledu...he didnt even ask me single piece of document.

Just an update...

 

My status got updated to approved this afternoon. went and collected my PP at 3PM today.

 

so it was hardly 3 day process for me with thanks giving in between. Thanks to everyone in the group who helped me with my questions.

One more update...I had question about this. hope this helps people like me who is planing to travel by road.

 

I came by road from Toronto to NY. At port of entry near peace bridge , Border and customs officer gave me a new I-94 and charged me

$6 for it. Not sure why. I just didn't care and payed that money in cash and got my new I-94 with entry stampings.

 

I also checked the uscis website and it was also update with my latest entry dates.

 

Many told me they stopped issuing I-94 at the POE, but in my case it was different.
