Update: 70 Inch Tv Sent To India With Out Any Issue...

Update 70 Inch TV successfully taken to India ..... British airways extra baggage $168 + 14,000 rupees  tax thooo successfully reached India...

 

my personal opinion 4k India kii antaa worth kadu emooo India laa max 1080p signals kadaa... 4k resolution not yet in India in most of the cables.... tata sky ki 1080p ki seperate settop box vastadi need to pay extra..

 

Regarding Converters :

 

okasarii user manual laa chudandiee.... NTSC ani unteyy you need to take PAL converter ....

stepdown transformers konaliii .....1000 watts thii max chalu.... its worth $50

 

I brought these  india loo kontey kudaa almost same price.

cargo will be charged ~$400  for 70 inch tv

 

Shipping tv Via fedex ~800

 

I sent tru BA... British airways max dimensions for over weight baggage was 75*29*25 but my this was 70* 15* 39 so height was issue BA made an EXCEPTION on weight and height took as extra baggage  if they don't take it you can check-in as cargo...

 

na personal experience ... dont send it via one shipping company one of my cousin  sent it via FEDEX

issue faced

1. customs lo you have to pay full

2.the person who you are shipping to must be visited the country in last 3 months

default TV packing kii nenu home depot loo extra air bubble packing wraps tesukunaa... and wrapped solid with out any gap inside the TV box

 

 

took it to one of the local shipping company they put  threads which is used for wrapping big boxes...and then plastic wrap...

customs valluu took bribe even if we were ready to pay tax fully 

they charged 14 k Indian rupees  8k as receipt and 6 k into pocket...

Last ki oka American Eagle flight lo diagonal gaa pettaru but aaa flight JFK ki velthundi. So Etihad vaadu vaadi ticket cancel chesi United Airways itinerary ichadu. So basic gaa anukunna flight lo vellaledu. If airlines reject I was ready to keep the TV in US. 

 

Final ga oka baggage baduluga idi+ $100(Over Size and Over Weight Luggage) ga accept chesadu. Hyderabad lo digaaka inka start. 1 hour customs vaaditho fight Receipt chuyinchina savakottadu last ki 14,000 rupees chethilo petta. 

 

Overall gaaa $1000 TV + $50 (US Cab) + $100 (United Airlines) + Rs. 14,000. But worth anipinchindi naakaithe.... India lo closest model around 3 Lacs undi + India chusthu chusthu antha dabbulu poyaleru especially maa intlo. And last konni years gaaa 21" thone nadipisthu vacharu ... konhce manchi TV konali ani 10 years ga kondam maanesaru...

nenu 40 inches dhi tesukoni poya oka 2 years back....aa convertor neeku amazon lo dorukudhi....dhi basically signal converting ki...India and US signals different anta...pal convertor use cheste signal india ki compatible ga vastayi anta....

 

alane square trade lo kuda insurance tesuko....once u carry the TV out of US,it voids the warranty.... square trade warranty will start after manufacture warranty i.e after 1 year

India laa $2600 here $820 after tax  $200 customs anuko $150 converters anuko $300 shipping anuko... from here to India total cost = 1500  .... 2600 - 1500 = ur saving  = $1100 ediii naaa opinion ....
