Q: Three men are arrested on charges of murder. These three sentences following their acquittal, saying: I suspect I'm not guilty of murder. The second accused:the third is the murderer. The third accused,: the first is murderer We know that two of them are liying and one of them is telling the truth and certainly one of the three is the killer. The question now is: - which on is innocent? - what is the possibility of the murder for each suspact

second and third are innocent. first one is the murderer.

 

Sol:

1. By the question itself we can conclude that second person is innocent.

2. Assume first person is innocent. then statement made by first person is true and statement made by 2nd person should also be true. which is not possible bcz 2 of them are lying.

3. Assume 3rd one is innocent, then statements made by 2nd and 1st one are wrong.

 

so 1st one is murderer and 2,3 are innocents.
