Stone laid for developmental works in Hindupur

Hindupur TDP legislator and cine actor Nandamuri Balakrishna on Friday laid foundation for developmental works worth Rs. 20 crore in Hindupur Assembly constituency.

He laid foundation for works worth Rs. 20 crore of the Roads and Buildings Department involving double laning of the Hindupur - Lepakshi - Kodikonda checkpost road, besides widening of the Hindupur - Somandepalli road by around 10 metres.

Each of the works is expected to cost Rs. 10 crore and is expected to be completed within the next few months.

He also laid foundation for the construction and erection of a mineral water plant, apparently to be administered within the framework of the NTR Sujala Sravanthi project of the government, aiming at supplying people with mineral water.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that a start towards solving the drinking water problem of the people of the Hindupur municipality and constituency was being made and that a larger and more comprehensive effort to solve the issue permanently will be initiated soon.

He said that all the promises made by him and the Telugu Desam Party prior to the elections would fructify and that there would be no complaints from any quarters.

However, he urged people to participate in the development process and help the government realise the ambitious goals it had set for itself.

He also said that the TDP government would spare no efforts in the development of the Anantapur district and the Rayalaseema region and that he would stand by, committed to the cause of communal harmony and development of minorities around the State.
