Viceroy hotel was built around 1991-92 ..the hotel is from Minerva group which own minerva/blue fox hotels..

It is owned my Prabhakar Reddy..he was made MP after CBN came to power as a gratitude for helping him during the coup

and later CBN even gave Minerva group the exclusive rights/lease for  establishing for food courts on necklace road..(eat street)
