Best choices for Capital  in the following order : 

 

1. Vizag. Top city in AP and one of the fastest growing city in India but still it needs political support. In 1990 both vizag and hyderabad were same interms of economic activity but then Hyderabad was develop because of being capital. Vizag can be in the almost same range of Hyderabad by next 10 years if it would be capital. 

 

2. Tirupati. Cool climate and is no.1 in AP in floating population and geographically in Rayalaseema region so seema people would be happy. There are many lands avaliable near yerpedu-srikalahasti area which is just 15 kms from airport.  

 

Above two are THE best 2 locations.

 

Worst location is Vijayawada. Second worst location is Donakonda. 

 

Special mention : Nellore would be the 3rd best location because of its important geographical location and industries which that region is attracting. It can become Vizag of South but coz of non-avaliability of land around nellore. I didnt list it out. But whatever Nellore district would be second most industralised district after Vizag by next 10 years.

Vizag - Nearest odisha border distance -  120 KM

 

LOL. Vijayawada is more close to another state than Vizag being close to another.

My problem is not Vijayawada but that region. Farm lands so I dont want them to be destroyed and very very bad climate.
