all most all of them are done in C and C++; gaming platforms like unity and shiva provide the foundation instead of you developing from scratch with graphic libraries such as OpenGL (open gragihcs apis for 2D and 3D graphics)

Almost all the platforms like IOS, android, blackbery, windows have unity and shiva and opengl built in to them; serious game developers never use java or any web languages; object c may be an exception again it is just C with native support to opengl
