india lo antha sensible ppl ni nenu expect cheyyanu - everybody speeds their vehicles for no reason. recently on my way to job near hitech city there is this guy driving enfield - there was red signal on and all the vehicles were halted - he was honking non-stop for some unknown reason - i asked him bhai kyon baja rahe ho - bolte hai ki chutiye tere ko kya bey!! - others on the road did not even respond to him or backed me!! - dis z incredible india ankunna nenaithe..

నివేదికలో ముఖ్యాంశాలు 
* దేశంలో 2014లో 4,89,400 ప్రమాదాలు జరిగితే 2015 నాటికి 5,01,423 లక్షలకు చేరాయి.

* 2014లో 1,39,671 మంది చనిపోతే 2015లో 1,46,133 మంది దుర్మరణం చెందారు.

* 2014లో 4,93,474 మంది గాయపడగా 2015లో 5,00,279కి చేరింది.

* 2014లో ప్రతి 100 ప్రమాదాల్లో సగటున 28.5 మంది చనిపోగా 2015 నాటికి 29.1కి పెరిగింది.

* దేశంలో రోజూ 1,374 రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాలు జరుగుతున్నాయి. సగటున 400 మంది చనిపోతున్నారు.

* గత ఏడాది మరణాల్లో 51% మంది 15-34 ఏళ్లలోపు వారే.

* 86.7% ప్రమాదాలు పదమూడు రాష్ట్రాల్లో చోటు చేసుకుంటున్నాయి.

* 2015లో 5,00,279 మంది గాయపడ్డారు. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ 29,439 మందితో ఆరో స్థానంలో, తెలంగాణ 22,948 మందితో తొమ్మిదో స్థానంలో ఉన్నాయి.

* ప్రమాదాలకు డ్రైవర్ల పొరపాట్లే ప్రధాన కారణంగా(77.1 శాతం) నిలిచాయి.

* అతివేగంతో 62.2% ప్రమాదాలు జరిగాయి. 64,633 మంది మృతిచెందారు.

* మద్యం, డ్రగ్స్‌ సేవించి వాహనం నడిపిన కారణంగా 4.2% ప్రమాదాలు, 6.4% మరణాలు సంభవించాయి.

* 2015లో 57,083(11.4 శాతం) హిట్‌ అండ్‌ రన్‌ కేసులు నమోదయ్యాయి. 20,709 మంది చనిపోయారు.

* ఓవర్‌లోడ్‌ కారణంగా 77,116 ప్రమాదాలు జరిగాయి. 25,199 మంది చనిపోయారు.

* 28.4% ప్రమాదాలు జాతీయ రహదారుల్లో, 24% రాష్ట్ర రహదారుల్లో జరిగాయి. జాతీయ రహదారులపై ప్రమాదాలు, మృతులు ఏటేటా పెరుగుతున్నారు.

* మార్చి, మే నెలల్లో అత్యధిక ప్రమాదాలు చోటుచేసుకున్నాయి.

* గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాలు అత్యంత ప్రమాదకరంగా మారాయి. 53.8% ప్రమాదాలు ఇక్కడే జరిగాయి. ఇందులో 61% మంది మరణించగా, 59.1% మంది గాయపడ్డారు.

* కూడళ్లే ప్రమాద కేంద్రాలుగా మారాయి. 49% ప్రమాదాలు ఇలాంటి చోటే చోటుచేసుకున్నాయి.

* నగరాల్లో జరిగిన ప్రమాదాల్లో హైదరాబాద్‌ 10వ స్థానంలో నిలిచింది. 2,761 ప్రమాదాలు జరగ్గా అందులో 425 మంది మరణించారు. 4,685 మంది గాయపడ్డారు.

* విజయవాడ 16వ స్థానంలో నిలిచింది. 1,644 ప్రమాదాల్లో 379 మంది చనిపోయారు. 1,548 మంది గాయపడ్డారు. విశాఖ 17వ స్థానంలో నిలిచింది. 1,637 ప్రమాదాల్లో 373 మంది చనిపోయారు. 1,313మంది గాయపడ్డారు.
