పీఏపల్లి: నల్గొండ జిల్లా పీఏ పల్లి మండలం వద్దిపట్ల వద్ద ఘోర ప్రమాదం చోటుచేసుకుంది. వ్యవసాయ కూలీలతో వెళ్తున్న ట్రాక్టర్‌ అదుపుతప్పి ఏఎంఆర్‌ కాలువలో పడటంతో 9 మంది మృత్యువాత పడ్డారు. ప్రమాద సమయంలో ట్రాక్టర్‌లో సుమారు 30 మంది ఉన్నట్లు సమాచారం. కూలీలు వద్దిపట్లలోని పడమటి తండా నుంచి పులిచర్లలోని మిరపచేనులో కూలీ పనులకు వెళ్తుండగా ఈ ప్రమాదం జరిగింది. బాధితుల హాహాకారాలు విన్న స్థానికులు హుటాహుటిన అక్కడికి చేరుకుని సహాయచర్యలు చేపట్టారు. ఆ వెంటనే పోలీసులకు సమాచారం ఇచ్చారు. స్థానికుల సాయంతో పోలీసులు మృతదేహాలను వెలికితీశారు. మిగతావారి కోసం కాలువలో గాలిస్తున్నారు. మృతుల సంఖ్య పెరిగే అవకాశం ఉన్నట్లు తెలుస్తోంది.

In India we don't have system called rest areas. Rest areas are the places where the truck drivers take pit stops or a nap.. in countries like USA there will be one for every 30 miles. If there are no rest areas you might find pilot truck stops.

 

 

In 90% of accidents I observed, either lorry or the family car is stopped next to the road for drinking tea or urinals etc. The vehicle or truck or car whatever following behind,  assuming they are following a moving vehicle will crash in to parked vehicle from behind.

 

Recently 4 people from Karnataka died in narsaraopeta after they crashed in to a truck that stopped for tea break..the driver from the victims car must be too tired to identify the vehicle. 

 

 In Hyderabad a car stopped next to  highway asking for directions from a biker. Truck crashed in from behind killing both biker and family members.

 

1.there are no left hand shoulder in India for emergency stop

 

2. No rest area

 

3.air bags is not compulsory for car manufacturers.

 

4. Drivers drive more then 15 hours in single day which is not permitted in any other country.

Madhya Pradesh: At least 20 people were killed and 30 others injured when their mini-truck fell down from a bridge in Madhya Pradesh last night, police said.

They were headed for a wedding in Sidhi, about 570 km from Bhopal, when the driver reportedly lost control over the vehicle, hitting the barrier of the bridge over Son river in Sidhi, and nosediving into the dry riverbed. The 100-foot fall instantly killed over 15 people while others suffered critical injuries.
