In the last 3 weeks it self there are 4 similar accidents. http://www.eenadu.net/homeinner.aspx?category=home&item=break31 In India we don't have system called rest areas. Rest areas are the places where the truck drivers take pit stops or a nap.. in countries like USA there will be one for every 30 miles. If there are no rest areas you might find pilot truck stops. In 90% of accidents I observed, either lorry or the family car is stopped next to the road for drinking tea or urinals etc. The vehicle or truck or car whatever following behind, assuming they are following a moving vehicle will crash in to parked vehicle from behind. Recently 4 people from Karnataka died in narsaraopeta after they crashed in to a truck that stopped for tea break..the driver from the victims car must be too tired to identify the vehicle. In Hyderabad a car stopped next to highway asking for directions from a biker. Truck crashed in from behind killing both biker and family members. 1.there are no left hand shoulder in India for emergency stop 2. No rest area 3.air bags is not compulsory for car manufacturers. 4. Drivers drive more then 15 hours in single day which is not permitted in any other country. rest area unnayi but I dunno abt all other highways.... vja to hyd and vija to chn we have rest areas Quote

Android_Halwa Posted June 12, 2017 Report Posted June 12, 2017 such roads and facilities are coming up and everything in India is connected to financing. There roads in India,,Delhi_jaipur,Delhi-agra-lucknow,gwalior-delhi,mumbai-surat-amhedabad., kolkata-patna,hyd-blr,hyd-vij,hyd-nagpur, chennai-bangalore,bang-muysore.. these highways did not even had a road divider earlier but these roads are now access controlled and have all the facilities..these highways improved in the last 10 years when money started flowing in to the system..and many more highways are under construction...building a nation takes decades and comparing it with already built nation is silly..
