189.5

Dawson to Jadeja, OUT, heaved to the man at long-on, good catch from Ball, moving across to his left and diving. Length ball, looks to biff it. Doesn't quite time it. They've also crossed, so Nair will be on strike on 299.

RA Jadeja c Ball b Dawson 51 (55b 1x4 2x6) SR: 92.72

190.4

Rashid to Nair, FOUR, misfield at point and that's the triple-hundred! Only the third player in Test history, and the first Indian, to turn his maiden hundred into a triple

190.4

Rashid to Nair, FOUR, misfield at point and that's the triple-hundred! Only the third player in Test history, and the first Indian, to turn his maiden hundred into a triple. The shot, a shot he will remember for a very very long time, is a cut. It was wide, he chased it, it was a bit uppish, which was why the fielder dived forward for a catch. Fell short and spilled through him

Karun Nair walks off to wild applause. He soaks it in. Taking big gulps. Savouring his effort. He is not a certainty in this Indian XI, but how are you going to keep out a triple-centurion? He takes in the handshakes from the opposition. Cook comes up. Root comes up. Practically everyone. He gets his hair mussed up by Virat Kohli as he goes into the dressing room. India spoilt for batting riches. After all, they made 759 - their highest ever Test score - with Cheteshwar Pujara making 15, M Vijay 29 and Kohli 15.

England have about 16 minutes to play before stumps. They've been kept on the field for 190.4 overs. They've conceded a total none of their predecessors have. Their spirits must be broken. Their bodies must be tired. And now they have to bat and save this Test? India have taken a 282-run lead.
