Irony is none of the gods that Brahmins have the mantras and do purohityam for are brahmins...for example lord Rama is a kshatriya, Lord Krishna is a yadav, durga mata is from a scheduled tribe...there is no temple for a brahmin god except for brahma temple may be no one even knows where and why it is there...

Humans are monogatsric therefore are omnivorous, this is because they have evolved as a result of survival of the fittest, otherwise we would have stomachs like herbivores and wouldn't be able to eat meat. Therefore, God has given us the ability to be omnivorous so our species could survive. 

People evolve and therefore religions should also evolve...religion should be used to unite people and not divide them. Orthodox brahmins must change...many non orthodox brahmins are already changing their mindsets, likewise orthodox other castes also should change...now a days all those traditional method of division of classes by their type of labor does not exist anymore...there is only one caste Hinduism...if anyone interested in chanting mantras should be allowed to do so and those who are interested in dressing hair should be allowed to do so as well...this should be done by not jeopardizing others means of livelihood.
