Yeah this is a controversial thread.

Evaro annaru katnam teesukunnollu compulsory ga in-laws ki flight tickets pettali ani. Nenu katnam teesukunna(sorry teesukovalsi vachindi 4 lakhs, that too for name sake) and in-laws lower middle class ani appuga ichesa oka 2.5 lakhs 3 years back, not expecting to repay any more..

Last year maa parents vasthe baane karchu aindi.. Ippudu maa in-laws ki welcome chepthe ippudu kuda anthe avtadi..

I invited my parents when my wife is not pregnant so that i can go to places with the family. I feel that if i invite them to US i will make sure they will have a good time anthe kaani McDonalds o leka local malls chupinchadaniki aithe i don't prefer. It feels like Luxury jail for them.

My wife is not working, When the topic came when my wife asked me to bring my in-laws i told her clearly. If you want to bring your parents i don't mind, but i will not pay anything for them. If you wish, i will apply for H4 EAD you can work, earn and spend on them. Picha li8 teesukundi appudu.. Edo chinna chinnaga home made cooking ani chesi konchem money earn chesindi, valla parents ki pampinchukundi india lo. I don't care anything about that.

Let me clarify the sample trip expenses. (These are only for parents/in-laws not counting you and your wife)

Flight Tickets with more leg room seats (Knee pbms antaru, ofcourse maa parents ki pettina kaabatti) - $3000

Insurance for 6 months - $2000

Domestic flights (Niagara, Newyork, Orlando, Denver etc) - $2000

Entrance/Attraction tickets - $800

Food/Hotel Expenses - $1000

Miscellaneous/Return gifts etc etc - $1200
