That is finasteride  not minoxidil .use minoxidil  first and see if works

If you use minoxidil once you need to continue otherwise there would be more hair loss

If you lost hair recently and the roots did not go kaput , it may help regrow them , but if you have lost hair ages ago , it may not help for regrowth , as some one pointed out it does however cut down your hair fall though
