This crap won't matter 5 years from now. Just try to communicate only about work. You can barely have friends at office. thumb rule never make friends at office. If you don't like topic during their discussion, you can choose to ignore or go away. Normally I just throw in completely diff topic of which they have no idea.. Then the culprit would again try to get back to old topic. So better be not that culprit.

Generalization misfires.. Every one is diff.. Even they complain we just speak in Telugu and don't involve them in conversation. Everyone has regional biases, it makes humans feel in their zone.
