ade kada nenu oka 2 yrs back ee polavaram project gurinchi telsukundam ani chadvinappudu, i was pretty impressed as to how complicated it is , how much water utilization would happen (assuming that godavari river water sent into sea thru dhawalesvaram every year is always going to be 1200-1300 TMC's on avg)

ippudu upper riparian state ayina TG thana water vata lo 900 TMC's  ni full ga kakunna more than half vadukundam ani choosinaa kooda polavaram project  ki water eda nunchi vasthayi

pranahitha water ni kooda vidichipettakunda medigadda deggara barrage kadthunnaru , inka only floods vachinappudeyy neelu polavaram ki vasthayemooo

should AP govt reconsider?  anyone here knows the how much share of Godavari water does AP gets when Tg gets 900 TMC's???

Sileru, shabari rivers kalustay kinda godavari lo. Kaleswaram kattina ok ne polavaram ki. Still enough water vuntay. Maha ayite ippude may, June lo polavaram daggara start ayte flood 1 month late avvochemo

Krishna water utilization already maximum. Kalwakurthy lift aipoinaka, ika TG drawing from Krishna ika anthatha matrame...downstream delta kuda 2 crops max unless catchment sees heavy inflows.

migilindi underutilized Godavari...Maharashtra kuda Vidharba drought ni tackle cheyanika several projects planning across Godavari...a water ni trap chesinaka migilindi TG...however pumping and lift against the gravity isint that easy to draw 900 TMC ...but gradually TG will shift its dependence on Godavari, atleast Northern Telangana.

Polavaram plan is conceived 30 years back but has not been redrawn with future in mind. I know engineers are not fools but looking at the way Maha and TG is planning projects across Godavari...well, not a great plan.

Interlinking lo kuda Mahanadi to Godavari proposal vundi...but that has to wait couple of generation till it sees the light of the day..

Basic question. So even after Polavaram does AP has to depend on mercy of upper states for water ?

If that is the case then in the years where rainfall is less, It will surely be a problem in future. I know there will be lot of rules and regulations for water share between states, But we have seen in the past how well the states follow those rules.

Polavaram main catchment is from catchment areas and drainage in chattisgarh and tributaries...even if there is scanty rainfall and upper states don;t release water, even then polavaram will get good inflows...It would not depend on the mercy of upper states.
