Their idea is to stop immigration so depends how severe they want to be. Ye country ki ayina immigration limits untayi. Present GC backlog choosthunte everything is over subscribed. They are not clearing the GC backlog for a reason. If you release so many people at once it will result in many citizens losing jobs. Everything that has happened so far since the EOs has been anti immigration. However, removing it for people already on i140would result in class action lawsuits that no government wants to face, but if they make it clear before issuing H1s to new people that a permanent immigration path is not possible through H1B then they won’t have to deal with any of it. The best option would be to leave who are already on H1s alone and let the new ones not have the option.
