Don't think you have any clarity on Karnataka situation in 2013 , 2014 and 2018.

 

in 2013, Yedyurappa and Gali Brothers formed their own party and so BJP got only 40 MLAs.

in 2014, BJP got them back into the party and won 17 out of 25 MP Seats 

in 2018, BJP got 104 MLAs and could not form government on their own (probably will lose their MP count in 2019 as Congress and JDS may form an alliance in 2019)

I dont know. I just posted the difference from 2013 to 2018. you can check it for 2008 elections where bjp won in karnataka it seems
