Timing also imp kada..summer lo vellakunda dec lo vellaleru and summer peak time. Also, europe ki trip plan chesevallu will try to stay in better hotels with better view and cover max places. Travelodge lo undaru kada? Also we need to keep in mind exchange rate. Anyways Agree to disagree. I planned the trip and it was costing me that much. Been there many times as i have family . Uk, Europe ivanni costly trips. Bayatiki pote money water la ayipotayi.

yeah agreed. but not all the time.

staying in bigger and star rated hotels is someones prerogative and how deep their pockets are.

I would rather stay in cheaper hotels/ hostels to trade off certain things like trying out food in a michelin rated restaurant or someother things like that.

If you can stay in hostels, major accommodation costs can be saved. 

I personally dont like the idea of x countries, y days. Ekkada edo choosinattu undadu naaku. Just Italy lo neeku ishtam unte oka 3 weeks time pass cheyyachu. Rome okkate 3-5 days choodachu.

Meeru vellalsina city ki expensive unte nearby hubs ki flights choosi oka day akkada spend chesi mee target city ki train/flight lo vellachu. 

Trains are nice but they run expensive if you dont plan well. 

WOW Air (or any other low cost airline) is cheap. Add in food, baggage, etc and then compare flight ticket prices. If you can pack everything in 1 small bag and travel, low cost airlines will be nice deal. I think 10 days trip ki kavalsinavanni oka manchi backpack lo petteyachu. 

Lonely planet is a good source in my opinion. Rick Steves is good but janalu perspective lekunda gorrellaga follow avtaru.
