You need transit visa. Line lo oka 2 hrs paduthundi.(min). And i don’t think you have anything to see near the airport anyways.

it would be hectic and tight with 12-13hrs. If it was 17-20hrs I would recommend. I have always travelled through British airways.

I doubt this man.  Visa stamp or Visit visa lekapote they don't even give boarding pass here in US. It was like that before at least dont know recently. Email british embassy. They respond in couple of days and you can plan accordingly.

I went thru London while coming from Hyd. I had 18 hour layover. I went straight to immigration and asked for transit visa. If you have boarding ticket for the next flight out of london, they give 24 hours transit visa for free. No charge.

Luckily my cousin lived in London. I told the same to the immigration officer. he stamped 24 hours transit visa. ofcourse this was 5 years ago. Not sure if same policy still applies.

what i was wondering is like singapore where u have layover of more than 8hrs ... they give a free singapore trip in their tour bus (airport has this facility).. i was thinking something like that there in london... if it would have been there it would have been very nice.
