Thumb rule : it’s crisis and times of uncertainty. IRA or 401k are silly and stupid. Instead, save all your cash.

CASH is king in times of uncertainty. No one take away your cash. Keep all your cash with in easy reach and accessible methods.

401k and IRA doesn’t make any sense or the returns on it or atleast, it’s not worth.

Company 5% istha annadi manam 5% isthene

Not having 401k when Employer is matching is like leaving free money on the table

I am into contracting and don’t have employer match. How can I save? Don’t say get full time because my take home in contracting is 120k per year. No company will pay that for my location or job.

Invest in Roth IRA or traditional IRA

Save in CDs. Some are high yield with 3.5 % return

Invest in mutual funds, or vanguard target retirement funds.

Investing in 401k or IRA is much better than keeping the cash in banks.

for the past 15 years the avg returns are 5-8%. If you don’t have any immediate need, that’s a better investment.

People might argue that REal estate will bring better returns but for buying land/property you need a good amount of cash in hand, that’s not the case with 401k, you can invest $1/month also.

401k ki vere accounts untayi they maintain them (fidelity, van guard, wells fargo)  .. think of it like a bank account.
