It depends on how you connect with them @Fish.  Some ppl are really close to your heart. I connected at a personal level in DB with some ids too though i never even told them as i dont really know them outside  . Yes i would extremely feel bad if something happens to them. Its not so uncommon. 

Take it easy things happen in life dear friend.
