Those gimmicks might not work in Telugu states, it will do more harm than good IMO, in telangana it will drive away party workers working from long time, most of the BJP folks in Telugu states have right wing ideology than religious fundamentalism

 TRS was not taken strongly lasttime in the city and suburbs because of insecurity from settlers and a notion that property prices will go down, business will suffer etc etc. This time city and subrubs are one of the strong areas for TRS
