Blow to KCR: Ex-PM Praises Babu

In a public meeting at Bellary, Janata Dal (Secular) Chief Deve Gowda praised Telugu Desam Party Chief Chandrababu Naidu and said that he is the only leader who is capable of forming an anti-BJP front at the Centre and bringing together leaders from different regions.

Indicating that Chandrababu has been responsible in playing a major role in bringing Congress-JD(S) alliance to power, Gowda said it such leaders are required to set examples and oppose the saffron party. 

Additionally, he also added that this is the right time for  Congress National President Rahul Gandhi to lead the party. He also praised Rahul for taking up responsibility and opposing Modi over his divisive policies. 

Gowda's praise for Chandrababu comes as a big blow to KCR.  If one can recall, TRS Chief KCR had visited the Gowda's in haste just before the Karnataka elections and claimed that TRS will work with JD(S) for harmony of two states. 

However, it is a well-known fact that KCR was sent as BJP's pawn to strike a deal. But, the JD(S) did not oblige. Therefore, it is clear that Chandrababu has won over another major Southern State and party that can be part of anti-BJP front at the National level.

The rumours about Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao finding it tough in own constituency Gajwel are rife. There is a buzz that KCR may contest from a Second Seat most likely Medchal. But such a move will give a Psychological Edge to the Opposition and so, KCR is said to be in Two minds. Now, a new rumour is that KCR will be changing his seat with Harish Rao’s. Harish will be contesting from Gajwel while KCR from Siddipet. As of now, Harish Rao is expected to win Siddipet with Bumper Majority. So, it will be an easy bet for KCR to contest from Siddipet. That would also mean a big sacrifice by Harish Rao. If at all Harish Rao contests from Gajwel, he is most likely to lose to Congress’ Vanteru Pratap Reddy. It would be easily a huge injustice to Harish Rao who is the most performing Minister in KCR’s Cabinet. On the other side all these mere speculations, KCR last said that there is no chance of making any changes to the already announced candidates list. Telangana will go to elections on December 7th and the results will be out on 11th of the same month. It will be a massive upset if TRS loses Gajwel either on KCR’s name or Harish Rao’s name. On the other side, KCR is expected to resume his Public Meetings wherein he is expected to touch 100 Constituencies till the elections.

I heard from few people that this guy, Vanteru Pratap Reddy is also a powerful guy locally, not as much as KCR does but has good grip over handful of villages and good voter base...

what's the ground reality ?

Gajwel town has leap froged in developement(spent close to 3k crores in last 4 years alone). Most of the yellow media projected backlash is coming from mallana sagar villages. agree...congrease ki antha scene ledu..maybe few villages emanna tight avochu but overall ga KCR ni feekedi em ledu aa vatch

Last time, KCR was leader of TRS but this time, KCR will be contesting as sitting CM.
