First and foremost, CBN did not take the initiative of greenfield airport. 

Second, When the greenfield airport was announced by the union...the minimum requirement was itself set at 3000 acres. 

Third, CBN or YSR....both contributed in their own capacity for the development of the airport. 

Fourth, The city of Hyderabad and the airport are much above than CBN and YSR put together.

Hmm..! The central government of India has initiated a plan to develop greenfield airports in india. Under this plan, three cities were selected. Hyderabad, Bangalore and Navi Mumbai and brownfield airports to be developed were allowed to Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai and only private at Kochi. This was the plan developed during the mid 90’s and cleared by 1996. 

There is nothing that CBN did to lobby. The best he did was to pick up lands in and around the airport to do real estate business. However, I will not deny that CBN did take personal interest in development of this airport but if you say that CBN lobbies for everything then you must go back in to the history...

Hyderabadi Muslims, Yadav’s, Padmashalis are the original settlers of Hyderabad. Unfortunately city’s development and prosperity is within the least of these communities...it’s pity but this is urbanization and nothing stops and spares no one..

If YSR is alive,he would have sold the Begumpet airport or allotted to  some industrialist/Real estate company and made quid-pro-quo profits

That attempt was also made....Begumpet airport la koncham land state government di vundi...akada pedda shopping complex,mall etc lanti proposals kuda vachinayi....IAF training institute, IAF hangar vundadam, some other reasons ki lite teesukovalsi vachindi...lekapothey paaye...

Chala land Air Force control la vundi...and a cargo space and MRO space is owned by Air India...future lo if the city needs another airport, this could serve as domestic anna proposal okati, Air Force Hakimpet base vallu now maintaining Air Force station at Begumpet.....ivi vundaga state government emi peekaledu bhai...hope air force could completely take over this land. The last stretch of greenery and provides much needed lung space for the central city...
