Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chhagan Bhujbal figure in ED list of top launderers

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate has drawn up a list of top money launderers and the shell companies used by them to transact unaccounted money.
The list includes some top politicians of the country. Topping the list is one Afroz Mohammed Hasanfatta and Madanlal Jain of Surat who remitted money to Dubai and Hong Kong 
through forged bills of entry. Together the duo allegedly laundered Rs 5,400 crore through 30 shell companies.

The politicians in the list include Jagan Mohan Reddy of YSR Congress who is accused by the agency of laundering at least Rs 368 crore through 31 shell companies linked to him and his associates. The other prominent politician is Chhagan Bhujbal, NCP leader and former deputy CM of Maharashtra, who is being investigated for allegedly laundering Rs 200 Cr using 81 shell companies.

వెనకటికి ఆంధ్రపురి గ్రామానికి రాజయ్య అనే సర్పంచ్‌ ఉండేవాడు. అతని కుమారుడు జగ్గయ్య.కొడుక్కి ఏ పదవి లేకపోయినా తండ్రితో పాటు అన్ని వ్యవహరాల్లో తలదూర్చేవాడు.వారిద్దరూ కలిసి ఊరికి మంచి జరిగేందుకు దేవాలయం అభివృద్ధి చేస్తామని చందాలు వసూలు చేసేవాళ్లు.

వసూలైన డబ్బులు మూట తెచ్చి సర్పంచ్‌ రాజయ్య ఏం చేశావాడంటే…గుడి మండపం మధ్యలో ఓ గుండ్రటి గీత గీసేవాడు. హే భగవాన్‌ “నాదీ దేవుడి పాలన. నీ నిర్ణయమే నా నిర్ణయం. ఆలయ అభివృద్ధి విషయంలో నువ్వేం చెబితే నేను అది దైవజ్ఞగా ఆచరిస్తా” అనేవాడు.అని ఇలా చేసేవాడు “ఓ దేవుడా నీ ముందు ఓ గుండ్రని గీత గీశాను. వసూలైన డబ్బులన్నీ దాంట్లోకే విసురుతాను. ఆ గీతలో పడినవి అన్నీ నువ్వే తీసేసుకో. నా భుక్తి కోసం ఆగీత బయట పడినవి మాత్రమే నేను తీసుకుంటాను అని ప్రార్థన చేసేవాడు. నువ్వు ఎలా చెప్తే అలా చేస్తా దేవుడా’ అని విసిరేవాడు. సహజంగానే దూరం నుంచి విసిరినప్పుడు గీత బయటే ఎక్కువ డబ్బులు పడేవి.పదోపరకో గీతలో పడేవి. “దైవ నిర్ణయం శిరోధార్యం” అంటూ బయటపడ్డ డబ్బులన్నీ మూటకట్టి కొడుక్కి ఇచ్చి రహస్యంగా దాచమనే వాడు.

ఆ గీతలో పడిన డబ్బులతో గుడిలో రోజుకో రుచికరమైన ప్రసాదంఊళ్లోవాళ్లకి పెట్టేవాడు. చక్కటిరుచికరమైన ప్రసాదాలు ఊరివాళ్లకి రోజూ అందటంతో గుడి బానే అభివృద్ధి చేస్తున్నట్టు కొంతకాలం నమ్మించాడు.అందరికీ “నాదీ దేవుడి పాలన..దేవుడు చెప్పినట్టు నడుచుకుంటున్నా అని ప్రచారం చేసుకునేవాడు. కొంతకాలనికి అతడి పాపమో..దేవుడి శాపమో ఆ పెద్దమనిషి పోయాడు.తర్వాత కొడుకు జగ్గయ్య తన తండ్రి మరణాన్ని ఊళ్లో వాళ్లందరి దగ్గర వెళ్లబోసుకుని తండ్రి లేని పిల్లోడనే సానుభూతి సంపాదించాడు.నా తండ్రిలాగే నేను గుడిని బాగు చేస్తానని తండ్రి పేరు చెప్పి బాగా డబ్బులు వసూలు చేశాడు.

అయితే తండ్రి రాజయ్యకంటే నాలుగాకులు ఎక్కువే చదివాడు జగ్గయ్య. తండ్రి ఏక్‌ నెంబరీ బేటా దశ్‌ నెంబరీ బాపతు. దేవుడికే టోకరా పెట్టే తెలివితేటలు అతడి సొంతం.వసూలు చేసిన డబ్బులను గుడి ముందుకు తెచ్చి “ఓ దేవుడా..వచ్చిన డబ్బును గాల్లోకి విసురుతాను. నీక్కావాల్సినంత నువ్వు తీసేసుకో, నువ్వు తీసుకోగా మిగలినవి, కింద పడ్డవి మాత్రమే నేను తీసుకుంటా’ అని మొత్తం గుడిసొమ్ము నొక్కేశాడు.కొద్దిరోజులకే ఇతగాడి వ్యవహారం జనానికి అర్థం అయి ఊరి నుంచి తరిమేసి మరో పెద్దమనిషిని ఎన్నుకున్నారు.

దాంతో నిలువెళ్లాఆంధ్రపురి వాసులపై విషం నింపుకున్న ఆ పుత్రరత్నం పక్కనే ఉన్న భాగ్యపురి పంచాయతీతో చేతులుకలిపాడు. తమ ఊరి గుట్లన్నీ ప్రత్యర్థులకి చేరేసేవాడు. ప్రతివిషయంలోనూ సొంతూరిపై కయ్యానికి కాలు దువ్వసాగాడు. ఆలయనిర్మాణంలో, నీళ్లలో, నిధుల్లోగ్రామాభివృద్ధికి అడ్డుపడేవాడు. ఊరికి నిధులు ఇచ్చే పై వాళ్ల దగ్గరకి వెళ్లి మా ఊరి వాళ్లని బాగా ఎండపెట్టండి. వాళ్లకి నిధులివ్వద్దు. వచ్చే పంచాయతీ ఎన్నికలో మనం మనం కలిసుందాం, మీకు నేను మద్దతిస్తాను అని రాయబారాలునెరిపేవాడు. ఎక్కువగా పక్క ఊర్లోనే ఉంటూ అప్పుడప్పుడు ఊరి పెద్దలను తిట్టడానికి మాత్రం ఆ ఊరికి వచ్చేవాడు.

ఎప్పుడు చూసినా ఆ నోటి నుంచి అన్నీ అశుభాలే తప్ప ఒక్క మంచి మాట మాట్లాడేవాడు కాదు. ఏదైనా మంచి పనితలపెడితే అడ్డంకులు సృష్టించేవాడు.ఊరిపై వాడి ఏడుపు చూడలేక జనం విసిగి వాడికి “శవానందం” అని పేరు పెట్టారు. గ్రామవాసులు అందరూ సమావేశమై ఒక తీర్మానం చేశారు. “ఊరు బాగవుతుంటే వాడేడుపు చూడ లేకఛస్తున్నాం. ఎప్పుడు చూసినా నెత్తిన శని తాండవిస్తున్నట్టు విషాద ముఖంతో ఊర్లో అడుగుపెడతాడు. వీడిని ఇకనుంచి ఊరిలో చావులకి తప్ప వేరే ఎక్కడికీ రానివ్వద్దు. ఎప్పటిలాగే వాడిని ఆ పక్క ఊరు భాగ్యపురిలోనే ఉండనిద్దాం. వాడికి ప్రీతిపాత్రమైన అశుభాలకి మాత్రం కబురుపెడదాం” అని ఊరంతా ఒక్క తాటిపైకి వచ్చి తీర్మానం చేశారు.అప్పట్నుంచి ఆ పుత్రరత్నం అమరపురిలో అశుభాలకి మాత్రం హాజరవుతూ సార్థక నామధేయుడిగా పక్క ఊరి చరిత్రలో నిలిచిపోయాడు.

ED attaches ₹117 cr. assets in Jagan case

BI has filed 3 chargesheets in matter

The Enforcement Directorate has attached assets worth ₹117.74 crore in a money laundering probe against YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and others.

The attached properties belong to the companies of I. Syam Prasad Reddy, including the assets of Indu Projects, Embassy Property Developments and Vasantha Projects in the Indu-Andhra Pradesh Housing Board, according to the Directorate.

 

Huge investments

The case pertains to alleged quid pro quo where Mr. Syam Prasad Reddy made huge investments in the companies floated by the YSR Congress chief.

The investments were made for the favours allegedly received in the allotment of 8,844 acres for Lepakshi Knowledge Hub Private Limited, 250 acres at Shamshabad for Indu Techzone Private Limited and various housing projects to Indu Group, when late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy was Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister.

D Court summons to Jagan, Acharya in Indu Tech Zone chargesheet

HYDERABAD: A designated special court dealing with cases filed by Enforcement Directorate (ED) at Hyderabad issued summons to YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, his auditor Vijay Sai Reddy, Indu Syam Prasad Reddy, businessman Nimmagadda Prasad, former minister Sabita Indra Reddy, Telangana home secretary B P Acharya and nine others in the InduTech Zone chargesheet.
It directed all the accused to be present in the court on March 16.

ED atached 750 crores worth of jagan properties including shares in bharti cements, lotus pond, banglore yelahanka fort, banglore mantri commerce building.

The list of properties attached included Jagan’s palatial Lotus Pond residence in Jubilee Hills, Sakshi Towers in Banjara Hills having offices of Sakshi newspaper and TV channel, Bharathi Cements, Sandur Power Project, 903-acre land in Guntur, and land in Hakimpet on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

ED names YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy's wife in Raghuram Cements case

The ED, in its investigation, has primarily focused on the flow of investments into Raghuram Cements and other companies belonging to Jagan.

HYDERABAD: In a significant development in the illegal assets case of YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Enforcement Directorate has for the first time named Jagan’s wife YS Bharathi as one of the accused in the Raghuram (Bharathi) cements episode of the assets case.

In this regard, the ED recently filed a chargesheet before the Special CBI court, designated to hear the ED cases, naming her as accused number five (A5) in the Raghuram Cements case under the Money Laundering Act. So far, there was no mention of her name in any of the 11 chargesheets filed by the CBI and those filed by the ED in the case.

The ED, in its chargesheet, urged the special court to issue summons to the accused and punish them under Section 3 of the Money Laundering Act. Jagan Mohan Reddy, V Vijayasai Reddy, Bharathi Cements Corporation, Jella Jagan Mohan Reddy, YS Bharathi Reddy, Silicon Builders, Sandur Power, Classic Reality, Saraswathi Power, Capstone Infra, Utopia Infra, Harish Infra, Silicon Infra, Revan Infra, Bhagawat Sannidhi estates, former director of mines VD Rajagopal, IBM representative VM Prabhu Shettar, former IAS Krupanandam and associate director of mines S Shankarnarayana were among the 19 accused named in the case.

In September 2013, the Central Bureau of Investigation filed a chargesheet in the Raghuram Cements episode of the illegal assets case. Based on the charge sheet, the ED had investigated the case and filed a chargesheet before the Special CBI court.

Flow of money
The ED, in its investigation, has primarily focused on the flow of investments into Raghuram Cements and other companies belonging to Jagan.

As per the charge sheet filed by the CBI, about 2,037 acres of land in Kadapa district was granted on lease to Raghuram Cements belonging to Jagan. It also mentioned about the loan sanctioned by the OBC and the investments made into company.

The officials concerned have played a key role in the grant of above lease to Raghuram Cements by not extending the prospective lease to Gujarat Ambuja Cements Limited at Kamalapuram and Erraguntla mandals in Kadapa.  It was also alleged that there was a conspiracy involving Prabhu Shettar in granting a lease to the company in one day though there were lapses in the mining lease plan submitted by Raghuram Cements. It was further alleged that there was tampering of records by the mining officials to benefit Raghuram Cements.

Nimmagadda Prasad and his companies had invested about Rs 285 crore in Raghuram Cements apart from Rs 35 crore in Sandur company. The ED had earlier attached the properties worth Rs 749 crore which included fixed deposits made in the name of YS Bharathi, Jagan’s Lotus Pond house and the office building of Sakshi and building located in Bengaluru.
