problem Posted April 30, 2019 Report Posted April 30, 2019 Hi frds, last week I had undergone blood tests.....anni normal unnayi.....but cholestrol high undi......tg chplestrol ekanga 246 undi.....ldl cholesterol 190 undi......total cholestrol 236 undi.....mari high ga undi......I dont know since how many yrs I have, this is my first blood test, age 32......ela decrease chesukovali......taking tablets daily one which the doctor gave and also doing walking daily.......physical activity ekkuva lekunde before I got to know this issue of cholestrol.....ippudu chestunna.....over the years cholestrol ekkuva unte what are the implications of that..... Active ga unte saripothundi...reduce deep fried items...eat avacado,fish,Millets,brown rice Intially gym kashtamga untundi kani after a week you will feel good seeing lean muscles Quote

I had when I was your age...regular exercises, proper diet, fishoil gummies from walmart helped me reduce my cholesterol...levels are normal now Quote

Almost every desi has this problem; however, one finds it out in a routine blood tests. First time, whenever you find a health anomaly, you get freaked out and ask others about that problem. That's what you did. After a year, it is a new normal. Cholesterol medication has some side effects, though, which you can feel it every day. When you are on cholesterol meds, avoid lamb, beef, milk, yogurt. Basically, reduce fat intake; otherwise, these meds don't work out. Docs say "eat fish". Eat vegetables, not mullangi, potatoes. Steam veggies. Reduce carbs too. For statins (choles meds) to work, you need to reduce ur fat in take. Otherwise, they don't work. Yes, do lots of aerobic exercises. Walking 10K steps a day good. Start hiking trails and babes. Garikapati gave some exercises: chaata oopadam, jalleda oopadam, rotilo rubbadam. ilaantivi manchi exercises. Ask your doc about fish pills, and their effectiveness.
