The greatest achievement of India is not just how much progress we have made but should also be counted as we held up during those trying times and still made it. Just one mistake would have broken India apart - punjab moverment, bangla war, naxalism, kashmir issue, military taking over like pakis. India is a heterogeneous country with a lot complexities unlike one dimensional nations that you mentioned

India is the only country where absolute number of cultivators actually inccreased in last 60 years. I dont know what is great achievements of this country - not a single language is on internet in a significant way - infact not a single language can be used to instruct engineering or medicine - they simply dont have vocabulary. One of the poorest - the cities look worse that civil war hit bombed out bierut. People still in tribal caste divisions. Only on paper it is 1.3 billion if you want to marry yours options are just limited to your region, your language and your caste. 😂

Not so quick bro..you need to understand Indians have been in distress not just 100-200 years but whole ficking 600-800 years when included Muslim rulers, in-spite of all that we retained our identity, culture language and most importantly the way of life.  It is a half glass full approach..be proud of what you are than what you are not. 

Eastern european, middle eastern completely turned from islan to Christianity and visa versa.. we never succumbed in-spite of so many invaders ruling us. 

The next generation is ours and I am sure it is just a matter of time and we will achieve all things that you mentioned

Everybody in the world retained their language - who lost it ? arabs?french? russians?japanese? - they also write software in it and develop content in it- they have developed their languages to teach science and medicine as well. What do you mean we never succumbed ? nobody had any difficulty in defeating hindu especially kashtriya rules. The onlt y hindus who succesfully fought wer shudra hindus like vijayanagar or maratha but eventually they too failed. And also what is this "we" i dont understand. what do you have in common with kashmiri pandit ? he neither speaks your language, nor will marry in to you. In fact most often he may not even like your presence unless he himself is in foreign country like USA. 

India which formed as british gift to Nehru and RSS ensure we became even more backward not forward. CHennai, Mumbai used to top cities in asia in 1947 now they are garbage dumps compared to shanghai, singapore, beijing etc. Even poor countries like BD are closing gap. Sri lanka is three times richer in per capita. Pakistan ranks way high in happiness index. They atleast have the brothehood that comes from islam despite sectaraian clases they are not divided in to tiny castes like us.

India is a failure but once we get out of it as Telugu nation we can do really well.
