Not just the product I bought. In general, products on sale come with a brain, but are not very smart. They are on market for what they are worth.

Incorrect.

Not surprised. The products on matrimony market seem to think they are worth more than the dowry they seek. They are not.

I am sure it must be really hard, to false advertise their worth on the market to get sold for a higher dowry than they are worth. Maybe if they reduced their price, they don't have to struggle as much.

Well since the female could not find a worthy one through her family/on her own she became what you would call a female matrimonial product. It's a business deal on matrimony. Here both male and female are shopping.

What does the man pay? They just go around to see who pays more.

If an average working bank employee expects his future in law to have atleast 50 crores property with six figure income, there is nothing wrong in giving false advertisements from the guy's side.

Both the parties are flawed, one is greedy and one is trying to satisfy the other's greed. But at the end of the day, only 10% of the people give full dowry on the marriage day.

Others keep on saying that eppatikaina maa ammai peru meedha rastham ani.. so are they giving dowry or are they thinking about safety of their own kid.

End of the day its the guy who faces all the disco from the girl, girl's parents and job and its expectations. So, no real man can support this feminist bullsht.

The deal works because, the potential male shopper has desirable properties/education/job and such securities for which the potential female shopper is willing to compensate

Sometimes the male shopper may compromise on the monetary part if the female is better in terms of other parameters

I don't disagree. Just the way I describe it, depending on the man's worth, he will be sold for different amount of dowry.
