most laws and personal laws are still based on religion basis..

many asylum laws are based on religion..

many acts still take pre-1947 situations into consideration to create or amend existing laws..

its not even been three generations since 1947, erasing such a legacy will take few more generations.

u are simply reducing the complexity of people's migration and settlement into bangladeshi vs Indian. Assam is much more complicated than that.

hardly 5-10% of those excluded may be from bangladesh. nationwide NRC will bring that simplemindedness to destroy lives of people all over India.

Indian home minister is claiming that hindus will get their citizenship if they are not in nrc, through caa (though its a lie). why should anyone not protest that?

regarding assam, this bullshit has been going for a long time...  assam that has like 150 different tribal groups, and in the name of protecting those land, assamese elite has been attacking bengali hindus/muslims even before 1971. large scale pogroms have happened, constant threat for life for bengalis there.

now after 1971, they get a chance to get rid of bengalis in the name of bangladeshi.. and u are deluding yourself that sanghis won't copy their playbook in assam in the rest of india.

Why do you people think India should fast track citizenship to majority of people in Pakistan and Bangaldesh ? This can be also be seen as cutting down on cross border migration by putting a no entry board to 98% people from Pakistan and 90% from Bangaldesh...whats wrong in it ?
