im thinking u know already negative testing... requirement verifying and all . 

so you will be a good fit to read requirements of a project and see how u can bring data into existing stream. 

this involves going more towards management side, data mapping, data architect (not major). 

before approving to bring data in ... you will verify if incoming data can be synced to existing fields, 

check syntax on in coming data, what other fields or reports will be affected by bringing in new data and profile the same data.

by doing so...you will be the subject matter expert for that project or new data and you can further work on other streams... and develop into a data architect as you aspire
