Oka bridge ki 1400 crores....

Jayaho CBN Jayaho...

The estimated cost for the 3.2 Km bridge near Amaravati was 1,387 crores which is approximately 430 crore per Km. Durgam cheruvu bridge runs for 0.238 km and its cost was 180 crores which is approximately 756 crores per Km. What do you have to say about the durgam cheruvu bridge, was the project cost inflated then ?

I don’t know the exact cost of the bridges being built but let’s take into the numbers and facts that are posted here..

Durgam cheruvu bridge is really needed, it’s been in the plan for years, helps to decongest the area instantly and caters to at least 1000-2000 vehicles per hour. This bridge is located in the business corridor where the economic activity is very high, a different topographical region with rock formation, no single pillars are laid in the lake bed, completely supported from two pillars from both the ends by steel suspension bridges, And most importantly the average elevation of the region varies from 400 meter MSL to almost 800-900 MSL. The government can afford spend such kind of amount in the city which brings in revenue. GHMC also has such kind of amount, HMDA also has such kind of budgets to supports projects of this size and return on investment also is very high.

Now, Do you want to present some facts and figures pertaining to why such a bridge is really really important to Amaravati ? And why do you feel a bridge at an expense of 1400 crores is really important and is the need instant or considering future ?
