Can someone who is not religious tell someone who believes in god to question the validity/existence of god?

They can tell them, whether that will change them or not depends on them.

someone who is not religious implies he would not care or might not even act like he is paying attention to someone who believes in god as he questioned the validity/existence of god

over to @Catalpha

who always has a better answer

This is not completely correct, it's more they don't care if God existed or not, since the existence of God wouldn't change their life in any way. They don't question the existence of God, since the existence of God wouldn't affect them. People who question the existence of God are atheists, and I am not an atheist, neither is my husband.

How morally right is it to plant seeds of doubt/change their stance on god?

Are you implying that my husband implanted the doubt/change in my stance about God?

No.

You already knew the answer, yet you decided to ask the question.
