no need to start from scratch...

all u need to do is, inform USCIS about ur job change, and supporting docs saying it is the same role, same specifications.

The term “port” or “porting” means to change the offer of employment from one job or employer to another job  or employer in a way that allows an applicant to remain eligible for a Green Card without having a new Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker filed, for the applicant.

https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-the-united-states/how-uscis-determines-same-or-similar-occupational-classifications-for-job-portability-under-ac21

@Tesla_Elon

AC21 is old rule, supplement G is new one...

USCIS still asks for supplement ni matter whether you file ac21 or not...

GC EAD vachaka make sure new employer will fill this below form on behalf of you....

it has few details about employer, yearly income US employees lantivi and job responsibilities... idhi fill cheste chalu any HR can do it... no need of sponsoring....

GC reject ayuyhe H1 etla manintain chestaru ra.... after six years H1 extend chesedhe GC apply chesaru ani... adhe reject ayuthe H1 enduku valid vuntadi adi etla renew avvuddi.... inta Chinna logic ela miss avutharu janalu naaku artham kaadu....

EAD vachaka inka H1 maintain chestam safe side anta malla brainless logic 🤣🤣

If you are on EAD and it's renewal or GC gets rejected, then you are immediately out of status and need to leave the country.

If you are maintaining h1 status , then you have some time to stay here till your h1 expires even if your GC is denied. So you can May be transfer h1 and get new GC process started again and get extensions based on that.

of course getting new PD is as useless as trash. It might be helpful for people for whom living in US in only option in their lives.

GC reject ayuthe ee basis meeda h1 transfer avvuddi ? you need to leave the country either way and stay for atleast one year to start new h1....

You are all  missing one point here, H1 extension after 6th year is possible only with pending 485 application... every renewal ki mee employer idhe reason choopistadu....

andaru adhe antaru if you are not paying from your own pocket maintain both but once you leave to india and use advanced parole to reenter you will lose h1.. which will be the case for everyone...

final ga oka maata... if you are PD is current apply for GC and get EAD/AP period.

later worry about EAD renewals, H1 renewals and maintaining both....

I can't surely tell if you can still get transfers or not since I have not seen such cases in person. It might be or might not be possible. But your existing H1 will be valid till it expires. that will at least give some time to settle matters here and then leave. Specially if you have kids and home.

if there is not much difference between your ead and GC dates. Then it is probably worth staying in h1 in that short gap.

If your GC is rejected and you are on EAD then you are immediately out of status. You have to leave the country next day.

That is what I have been told by many. Including online articles by lawyers too. Majority suggest maintaining h1 status if your GC date is not far away.

Okay bro if you are still maintaining H1 after getting EAD you must be happy with current employer...

I would say if your GC date is not far away and you are happy with your current employer. Then Just maintain H1 status for that short time till you get GC.

if you get a fantastic job offer on EAD or your GC date is far far away then would definitely recommend using EAD.
