I think mahabharat is still  relevant in our times still because every character has both positive and negative to them  including krishna just like the days we live in and you cannot & should not judge people. But if you think it is a story of kings and their revenge and not relevant you can leave it.

Every ancient book is relevant if we go by the same yardstick. Ittane cheppukuntu inko 5000 years batikeddamantava

i go with Duryodhana.

I felt everybody cheated him.

Dharma raja was elder than duryodhana. By law, he should have been king after dritharasthra but duryodhana wasnt okay with it. Rest is history.

routine rotta answers like Lord Krishna and Arjuna annodhu please....There are much stronger characters here

By default Vasudev Krishna.. others in this order

1) Karna - for pattudala and true symbol of friendship

2) bheeshma - for his valor

3) shakuni - for his fox mind set.

For sticking to dharmam

It's a vague explanation but it's ok. Krishna was always biased towards pandavas. More so he favored Arjuna because he was married to lord Krishna's sister.
